Complete 227-Folio Manuscript Corpus
Explore every transcribed page of the Voynich Manuscript (38,949 words across 227 parchment leaves). Medieval manuscripts are numbered by leaf (folio) rather than modern page numbers: r stands for recto (front side), v stands for verso (back side), and multi-panel foldout sheets include a panel number such as f70v2 or f85r2.
Because the manuscript uses its own handwritten character set, scholars transcribe each glyph into Latin letters using the standard European Voynich Alphabet (EVA) (Zandbergen-Landini ZL3b-n corpus). You can also filter pages by Currier Language A or B, the two distinct spelling and statistical dialects identified across the manuscript’s five scribal hands.

f78r, Quire 13): Short object labels are written beside the painted water pipes and nymphs, while the full recipe paragraphs flow underneath. Click to zoom. Folio f1r
